Work in me, oh Lord, so that I may be the young woman you want me to be,
Work in me, oh Lord, so that any bad thing in my heart can be eliminated so I can best serve you,
Work in me, oh Lord, so that I always remember you are the cup that will not run dry.
Oh Lord, work in me.
I am a sinner, but one saved by grace. I am not perfect, I stumble, and I fall at your feet many times, yet there you still stand. When I take one step back, you move me two steps further to show me that you will never leave me or forsake me, and you also show me that your forgiveness is always available for me. Oh Lord, how wonderful you are; what have I done to deserve grace? I am just a sinner who’s sin placed you on the cross.
Yet you still loved me in my sin and brokenness. You took my burdens to the cross and you shed your blood for me so that I might be set free. You removed my guilty verdict and pardoned me so that I may live in paradise with you. Oh Lord, how thankful I am for you.
Work in me, oh Lord, for it is the most I can give you. Take my broken heart and make it anew, take my heart, my life, my soul and make me the woman you want me to be. Convict me of things that needed to be changed, take me deeper in my faith, and make my faith be limitless without borders. Though the storms rage, give me the faith to walk along the waters with no fear of the roaring ocean, and give me the confidence to not look back, but to keep my eyes on you while I walk on the treacherous sea.
Oh Lord, how heaven must be wonderful. Filled with those who died for your name, but also filled with many sinners saved by grace; none perfect, yet loved by you. How you loved us in our iniquities, how you guide us towards your grace, and how you console us when we are hurt. Oh Lord, thank you for being a loving Father that is slow to anger.
Work in me, oh Lord, so that I might be a light on a hill to show your goodness and love. We live in perilous times where darkness looms over the world, but make me a light; a light that will not burn out. Make me the Proverbs 31 woman who’s light refuses to go out at night, for her work is never done. Work in me, so that I might serve you in the best ways possible and that I do not grow weary while doing well, for with you, I can do all things.
Work in me, oh Lord, for I am a work in progress that always need editing and revising. As I continue in my walk with you, you show me new things, teach me new lessons, and will lead me into new seasons that will teach me lessons that I will cherish forever. Work in me so that I can enter new seasons of my life with full confidence in your abilities and that I never waver in your promises.
When the future seems bleak and unknown, work in me so that I trust you and never fail to see the many promises that you have given me. Oh Lord, you have promised me many things, and I most certainly believe in them, so in my weak moments, always remind me of those promises and the hope that is yet to come.
Oh Lord, you are powerful, mighty, perfect, and worthy of all praise, and I seek to make you known. I am just a girl who seeks to make you known to as many that will listen, and I pray that you lead me closer to you as I embark through my journey in life. You place the stars in the sky and you know them by name, and if they will worship you, then so will I.
Through all of my days, I give you all of the glory. With the blessings I have now and the blessings that are to come, I give you the glory for them all, for you give and take away, and I refuse to take anything you have blessed me with for granted.
So oh Lord, work in me so that I might be a strong woman of God who is not moved by this world, who has no fear, and who is bold in your grace. I might be just a girl, but I am a girl who is after you, and I am a girl who is unstoppable due to all that you have done for me.
Work in me, Oh Lord, so that others may see you through me, for you are the potter and I am the clay, so continue to write your promises in my life as I journey further into the story you have written for me.
So work in me, Oh Lord.
Work in me so that I may be the young woman you want me to become.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“But now, O Lord,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64:8
