When we decide to follow Christ, to seek the truth, and to have the truth revealed to us, we will have those who will be upset, will be enraged, and will not understand. Personally, I could go into great detail and tell you about my story and about my testimony, about what I endure, and about many people who turned from nice people into people I did not recognize due to my faith, but that should not come as a shock for we will go through trials and adversity.
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Our trials should not cause our happiness to dissipate or be burdened down with depression. Instead, we have the joy of knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us!
We live in a society that focuses on self-interest, but a woman of Christ who takes the focus off of herself and onto righteousness, has value found in integrity rather than on visibility. Though I find myself in trails, I know that my value is worth more than my trials, I know my value surpasses the self-glorication of this society, and I know my worth is found in Christ. I will passionately and gracefully defend the gospel, I will love Him, I was share Him with others, and I will be a heroine for Christ.
I know that my testimony will be put under the microscope, I know that I will be thrown into various trials due to some not understanding the hope I find in Jesus Christ, but I still rejoice for I am a daughter of God and I find joy in Him!
“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” Psalm 46:5
God will always be there, will always console me, help me, and will never let me down, so while there are people on this earth who will cause adversity, He will be by my side during each trial that occurs, and that gives me joy and peace.
To choose to follow Christ is a narrow and rocky road, but I will choose to follow Christ! I refuse to be like the women of this world, for I choose to set apart! I am in fact a daughter of God and He has a plan for me.
I am a daughter of God who will eventually have daughters of her own, and I hope my little girls have a passion to be a heroine for Christ rather than fitting in with the regular girls at school. I pray that my little girls realize that they have a Father in Heaven who views them as made in His image and that He has a plan for them too.
I encourage other women of Christ to be brave for Jesus Christ, for the gospel, and to set apart from regular women! When we do this, we will be opening many doors for other women to want to learn more, and maybe, they’ll want to be followers of Christ as well!
Though the storms may be fierce, I am a daughter of God and I will find my joy and happiness in Jesus Christ! Even if the world is in flames, I am never alone and my integrity is where my value is found, so I do not fear the world, but instead I will live passionately for Him so that others may seek Him as well.
