So many times, we see people who fall into the same rut, situation, or even conclusion, and that person never learns. So many people go through life living the same cycle, and do not know why or blame other sources for the never ending cycle. However, if you find yourself in the same conclusions and situations, the problem isn’t others, the problem is you! If we would pray for guidance, we would not find ourselves in the same cycle, but instead, we would find ourselves in the path of where God wants us to be!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Though we may think that we are capable of fixing our situation or prevent events from reoccurring, we must not lean on our own understanding, for God is the only one who can truly direct our paths! When we lean on our own strengths, we will fail for we are weak, but when we depend on God’s strength, nothing will be impossible for we can do all thing through Christ!
When we depend on Him, that same cycle can be broken, those events won’t have to happen again, and a better future will occur. Improvement, learning, and your walk with Christ cannot grow when you are stuck in the same loop. When you are stuck in that cycle, your faith isn’t increasing due to the same occurrences that leave you questioning God.
“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” 1 Corinthians 1:25
Though you may find God’s plan foolish, His plan is much more wiser than your plan could ever be. The Lord’s plan leads to success and never leads you into the same dead ends that our plans would lead us into. The strength of the Lord is so strong, that it could easily overpower the strongest person on earth, so why would we depend on our own plans? Jesus defeated the grave; therefore, why do we not trust Him with our life plans?
When you find yourself wondering if history is repeating itself, then maybe you aren’t depending on Christ. Instead of wondering what or why the cycle will not stop, examine yourself. Ask yourself why you aren’t praying to God or depending on Him, for Christ would have never let you end up in the same ruts that get you nowhere.
