So many people these days are trying to look for validation from the world. People are trying to get others attention by going to all sorts of ends to get some kind of attention, but that isn’t what God wants us to do. God wants us to please Him and not the world. The validation from this world is temporary, and isn’t lasting. This world is lost, sinful, and a lot of people are going to Hell, so why are we wanting to get validation from something that doesn’t even please God?
“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10
You cannot call yourself a servant of Jesus if you still please men. You cannot serve two masters, so you have to make a choice. Would you rather please men or God? No one can make you choose either one, for that is your choice alone! If you are more gravitated towards pleasing humans than pleasing Christ, then you might want to reexamine your relationship with Christ.
“How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” John 5:44
John 5:44 is clear and is straight to the point. How can you claim to believe in Christ when you would rather gain honor from the lost world than honor from Christ? Christ makes no mistakes, so why would you go to the world for validation? The sinful world will only lead you to Hell, while Christ will lead you into heaven.
“Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5
How much is it worth to be cursed by God? Do you really want to please man and your flesh more than Christ? When you decide that you want to please man and strengthen your flesh more than please Christ, then your heart departs from the Lord! Is that really worth it? Is pleasing man really worth your eternity?
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36
You can have all the money, all the fame, all the material items in the world, all of the world’s praises, but it will not profit you, for you will still lose your own soul! Again, is it worth it? No, it is not worth it. Why do you see Christians being persecuted? It’s because they refuse to please man! They refuse for they know this world will take them to Hell!
There are many bad influences in our generation, so why would you want to please that? My flesh may fail, but my God is bigger than that; therefore, I please Him! I give Him all of my praise, and I give Him the glory! All of us Christians should give Christ our all! We should not please our flesh, for our flesh will fail us all of the time, but our God will never fail us! With the fact of knowing that God will never fail, that should be enough desire to want to please Him than this dying and failing world.
