Finding God In Our Weakness

We have all been there. We have all been in our lowest of lows, our down moments, our “rock bottoms,” and the list continues. We have all been there, and while you were trying to pick yourself back up, Christ was with you! When you were struggling to see the road ahead of you, Christ was there too. While you were fighting to continue climbing the mountain you were faced with, Christ was there every step of the way. No matter how bad the waves get, Christ will be there.

Just because we are believers in Christ does not mean we are going to stay above the waves at all times. Sometimes, those waves come to sallow us and to drown us, but when we call on the name of Christ, He will come to grab us from under the waves.

Depression, sadness, anger, and fear cannot stop God from intervening and grabbing you out from their grasps! Jesus is the all knowing God, so He can take away your pain!

“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

When we go through a moment where we are weak, we should give it to Jesus! When we go through a time where things seem to be going wrong, we should give it to Jesus! When we are overcome with all of these emotions and seem to be drowning, we should give it to Jesus! We should give it to Jesus because He cares about us! He cared so much about us that He died for us, He took on our sin so we could live, and He conquered to the grave to show His power! With that power, He can take our situation and make it better! He can turn our tears into happiness and our pain into joy!

We all have our moments where we feel like we have no strength to move on, but it is not our strength that gets us through our storms. It is by God’s strength that we make it! It is by Christ that we keep moving on the narrow road!

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Everyone knows this verse, but no matter how many times you have heard it, the message is still powerful and true! Jesus gives us strength, and with His strength we can do all things! Not just some things, not just parts of things, but all things! Therefore, if we are going through something, we should call on His name and give Him our troubles and anything that is causing us to stumble!

Weak moments aren’t just there to make us have hard times. Weak moments are also used to make us stronger. Sometimes God allows us to go through battles so we can become stronger in Him. Look at Job! Satan thought he could get Job to turn on God, but God knew Job, so He let Satan do all of these things, but guess what? Job remained strong in his faith in Christ!

You don’t know what God is doing in your life! He may be shaping you to be a bigger and better warrior for Him!

“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

When we are weak, we then become strong! The next time we are weak, have needs that we feel aren’t being met, have worries, have doubts, or anything, we should go to Christ and lean on His strength! Our weakness eventually makes us stronger! Being a believer in Christ isn’t going to be easy because not only are you battling the world, but you are also battling your flesh.

The next time we are in despair, we should have a positive outlook on the event. We should run to God first instead of worrying! I’ll admit, that will be challenging, for our natural instinct is to panic when things go wrong, but we should also remember to go to Christ first! When we then confide in Christ, we must remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and at the end of the tunnel is strength and perseverance!

  1. Salvation is a matter that has an owner: The Lord Jesus.
And He gave me two keys to use in any situation:
    — Help, Lord Jesus!
    — I put this subject under Your feet, Lord!
